Prayer is simply talking and listening to God and we can do this at anytime, in any situation. We have written down a few prayers that might help you to pray. Here are some prayers that may be useful to for those facing difficult situations.

Dear God
Thank you for your care during the night, for this new day, for the promise of your presence with me; for the comfort of knowing you will help me.
Give me strength to do what has to be done, patience to bear what cannot be altered, courage to accept disappointment without complaining.
Help me this day to put away sad thoughts, to think on those things that are pure and lovely, and to remember good things about others. Amen

For I know the plans I have for you.’ says the Lord, ‘they are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray I will listen. You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest.
From the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11-13

Lord Jesus Christ- please help me. I feel so alone with my problems, I don’t feel able to trust anyone or anything.
Please help me to pray, to talk to you now openly, honestly, hiding nothing.
Lord- please help me I don’t know who else to turn to for help. I come with all my despair, my fears and, my confusion. Lord Jesus- please help me to hear your words of comfort and receive the peace you alone can give. Amen

Here is a prayer that you might like to say if you would like to invite Jesus into your life and accept his promise of forgiveness & eternal life.

Lord Jesus Christ
I know that I have not always lived the way you want me to. I am sorry for the ways I have messed up (take a moment to confess anything on your conscience). I now turn from everything I know to be wrong. Thank you that you died on the cross to forgive me and give me your spirit. Please come into my life through your Holy Spirit to be with me forever.
Amen
