As a church we are committed to working with others to change our community & our world.

South Oxford Churches Together
Working together to form SOCT are: South Oxford Baptist Church, Holy Rood R.C Church, United Asian Baptist Church, St John’s C of E Church & St Matthew’s C of E Church. Together we have run events such as holiday clubs for children & young people, an international evening to raise awareness about problems facing refugees and recently we produced a useful guide to the local area, called ‘Southenders’.

Links with community professionals
St Luke’s has been working closely with community professionals in the area, including the City & County Council, to improve the quality of life in Cold Harbour and develop the community services St Luke’s provides. If you do have a professional concern we would like to invite you to our Community Networking Lunch which is held periodically throughout the year. Call 01865 251616 for more details.

The Gatehouse
The Gatehouse is a café in the centre of Oxford that provides a warm welcome, food and drink to the city’s homeless & poorly housed population. St Luke’s supports this work through prayer and by donating cakes. www.gatehouseoxford.org.

La Tablada- our link in Peru
We have been linked to La Tablada Church near Lima in Peru for the past 9 years. We have supported the church through prayer, money and selling goods produced by members of the congregation. Members of La Tablada have also visited St Luke’s.

Traidcraft
We have a fair trade stall each Sunday. The goods we sell are supplied by Traidcraft for more details about the organisation please go to www.traidcraft.co.uk
